A practiced carver for more than ten years,
James MacKay has been changing the landscape in the Nova Scotia Lighthouse Coast town of Shelburne, Lockeport, Halifax, Yarmouth and many other areas in Nova Scotia. His popular
chainsaw carvings are sprouting up in front of shops and stores, motels and building emporiums and on the front lawns of some homes all over
Nova Scotia.
His work can be seen next to the Shakespear house on Water Street in
Shelburne, Nova Scotia, in front of MacKenzie's Motel & Cottages in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, on the lawn of the colonial house on Dock Street across from the Visitor Centre in Shelburne, Nova Scotia and at the Lockeport Cottages and Campground in Lockeport, Nova Scotia.
Some of his creations include
eagle chain saw carvings, shark chainsaw carvings, fishermen carvings,
bear chain saw carvings and more.
He can currently be found in Halifax Nova Scotia and in the future he can often be found carving on Dock Street, on the lot next to the Old Barrel Factory or at his home in Welshtown (Map link
Welshtown Nova scotia).
